Ingredients

APPLE CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • For Cake
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup applesauce (at room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (at room temperature)

FOR THE COMPOTE

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 apples (diced)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

FOR CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • 2 packages cream cheese (softened, 8 ounce packages)
  • 1 stick butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Carla had cookies on a show about 3 weeks ago with potato chips at the beginning of the show. Could you post the recipe?

    Too a lady named Elisabeth did a chocolate macaroon cookie about a year ago. The segment is on the website but the recipe isn’t. Could that be posted also?
