This envelop contains a winning dessert!
1 quart vegetable oil (for frying)
1 package wonton wrappers
2 large egg whites (whipped until frothy)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Heat vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or tabletop fryer to 350ºF. Place a baking rack inside of a baking sheet.
In a small bowl add cocoa powder, sugar and cinnamon and mix to combine.
Brush wonton wrapper with egg whites and sprinkle with cocoa cinnamon sugar. Fold each corner into the center to form an envelope shape. Place in fry oil and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove from fryer and toss in remaining cocoa cinnamon sugar. To prevent wonton wrappers from drying out, keep a damp towel on top while assembling treats before frying.
Remove to a baking rack to cool. Place in cute gift bag for guests.
