ingredients
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER :
1 pound peanuts (salted)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
CHERRY JAM :
1 pound frozen dark sweet cherries (thawed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 lemon (zest and juice)
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

directions
For the Chocolate Peanut Butter: Place the peanuts into the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add the cocoa, powdered sugar, oil and salt. Process until smooth, about 15 minutes.
For the Cherry Jam: in a medium saucepan, add the cherries, sugar, lemon juice and zest, cinnamon stick and salt. Cook over medium heat until the cherries begin to break down and it becomes jam-like, about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
Layer the jam and peanut butter in a jar and serve on toast points.
Tip: Give as a gift, layer the peanut butter and jam in mason jars
