This Pound Cake with Orange Glaze is easy to make, and is a deliciously sweet option!

ingredients
FOR THE POUND CAKE BATTER:
2 sticks butter (softened, plus additional for greasing)
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 tablespoon orange zest
FOR THE GLAZE:
1 teaspoon orange zest and juice
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tablespoon water

directions
Preheat the oven to 325ºF. Grease and flour bundt pan.
In a large bowl add the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, sour cream, butter, vanilla extract, eggs and orange zest and mix until a smooth batter is formed.
Pour batter into the greased pan and bake 60-70 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, and then flip out of the pan onto the wire rack to cool completely.
For the Glaze: Whisk together orange zest, orange juice, powdered sugar and water until completely smooth. Drizzle over the whole or sliced pound cake.
Tip: Perfect cake to make ahead and freeze. Allow to thaw for an easy snack or dessert and drizzle with glaze before serving.
