This Lemon-Sage Loaf is delicious!
1 Italian loaf
4 tablespoons Clinton’s compound butter (softened, divided)
Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
Cut Italian loaf in half, lengthwise. Spread 2 tablespoons of compound butter on the inside of one half of the loaf. Repeat with the other half of the loaf, sandwich the two halves together and wrap tightly in aluminum foil.
Place the loaf in the oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated through and the outside is crusty. Remove from the oven, unwrap the foil and slice.
Tip: Make ahead by freezing the buttered loaf.
