Mario adds a twist to your fried shrimp!

ingredients
PRETZEL-CRUSTED FRIED SHRIMP WITH PICKLED PEPPERS
1 1/2 pounds shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails on, 36-40 count)
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons paprika
2 large eggs (beaten)
2 cups pretzels (finely crushed)
2-3 cups canola oil (for frying)
1/2 cup pickled pepper relish
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Preheat 3-4 inches of fry oil in a large Dutch oven or cast iron skillet to 360ºF. Line a baking sheet with paper towels.
Pat the shrimp dry and prepare a dredging station with three shallow dishes or bowls. Place flour and paprika in the first dish. Season flour with salt and pepper and whisk to combine. Place eggs in the second dish and crushed pretzels in the third dish.
Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip into the egg mixture and finally the pretzel mixture, allowing any excess pretzel pieces to fall off. Place in the oil and allow to fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the oil to the paper towels. Season with salt if necessary. Toss shrimp in pickled pepper relish and serve additional relish on the side.
Tip: Dredge shrimp in your favorite bread crumbs or finely crushed crackers.
